Great Style: When Art Meets Fashion
Today, I want to introduce you to Uno Alla Volta. They sell high-quality, artisan-made items and help keep traditional art alive by supporting local artisans. As a regular reader, you know that I especially love their great Murano seed bead necklaces and sterling silver jewelry, as well as their handmade hats, bags, and scarves.
Hand-Crafted Has a Unique Charm
Since I was a child, I have been drawn to handcrafted items. My late mom had knitted dresses, sweaters, and skirt suits, as well as scarves and mittens for me, and she had also sewn many cute summer dresses. I began to appreciate handmade fashion accessories, including beaded necklaces, hats, and leather bags. As a teenager, I fell in love with hand-painted scarves. I always have a hard time resisting when I come across one that features an outstanding pattern or color combination, like Joyita‘s Shamrock scarf or Lucille‘s swirl scarf.
When I opened the package, I was overwhelmed by the beautiful, various shades of green of the Shamrock scarf. I immediately thought
Wow, this beautiful scarf is not only for St. Patrick’s Day.
I love the purple, teal, pink, and fuchsia of the marble scarf because these colors are so me!

The Shamrock Scarf: A Limited Edition Means a Collector’s Item
Artisan Joyita crafted a limited edition of 250 beautiful cloverleaf-inspired scarves for St. Patrick’s Day. I feel so honored to have one of these unique scarves. Since the scarves are hand-painted one at a time (uno alla volta), not one of the 250 scarves is the same as the other 249 scarves of the limited edition. The artisan signs each scarf and includes a certificate of authenticity, which also states that this edition is limited to 250 pieces.

How to Make a Marbled Swirl Pattern
The marbled silk scarf is made by their Connecticut artisan, Lucille. The technique to create this swirl pattern is fascinating. Each scarf is placed upon water that has been combed with the color pigments. Consequently, even when the same colors are used, no two scarves will ever look the same. This means each piece is as unique as its wearer.

If you do not like these colors, don’t worry. She makes this marbled pattern in all kinds of color combinations, for instance, in the evergreen classic black and white with all values of gray in between. So elegant!

The Uno Alla Volta Scarves Show Great Craftsmanship and High Quality
Joyita painted the clover leaves in various shades of green on a white silk satin oblong scarf. The scarf measures 11 inches by 60 inches (28 cm x 1.50 m).
The sides of both scarves appear to be hand-rolled and hand-stitched, as one would expect for an expensive silk scarf.

When you inspect the painting of the Shamock scarf, you can see that the artisan lets the colors dry before adding another, i.e., there is no uncontrolled mixing. She added a metallic-looking color as borders of the shamrock and gray, brown, dark green, and black at the ends of the scarf (see photos). This permits many styling options.

Uno Alla Volta Scarves Have an Excellent Price-Performance Ratio
The artists maintained a modern and elegant aesthetic. Thus, the proud owner can style outfits with these scarves year-round. In the case of the Shamrock Scarf, it also means you don’t have to be Irish or of Irish heritage to wear the scarf. It costs $98.
It’s incredible, but true, that you can get the swirl scarf for just $60, and it comes with a certificate of authenticity! Thus, this scarf is also a collector’s item at a bargain price.
Scarves are wardrobe accessories for years to come. You will style many looks with these beauties for years to come. In other words, given a tenure of a decade or more, the scarves quickly drop under $1 per wear.
That’s what I call a great-price-performance ratio!
I don’t have to mention that hand-painted scarves and limited editions increase in value with time, right?
If I had paid for this scarf, I would not regret spending the money. I love these scarves, and I would highly recommend them to my best friend.
Because the Shamrock scarf is a limited edition, you don’t want to wait to order one of the other 249 Shamrock scarves for your wardrobe.
